It’s the biggest day of your life and it should rightfully go as smoothly as possible, giving you every chance to make it the happiest day of your life too. So, like many things, success is all in the planning and timings are crucial for your wedding.
Hopefully you’ll have many months to get it all planned in advance, so by the time the wedding bells start ringing you’ll know what you need to be doing, who with, where and at what time. For instance, if you’re the bride, where will you be getting ready on the morning? What time do you and your bridesmaids, as well as the dress, flowers, hair and make up person need to be there?
Likewise, you’ll want to know that the reception will run smoothly and that means ensuring that your caterers will be on time and have the food brought in and out to your guests to fit in around when you want to make the speeches. When it comes to the catering, just like you, we realise that having it all running like clockwork is important.
Events can change
But what about contingency? Often weddings can throw you in a curve ball – are you ready for what happens if something doesn’t go quite to plan? Have you got the people in place to ensure that things keep moving along nicely? As wedding caterers we know that events can change, so our motto, like the boy scouts, is to be prepared. We rise to a challenge and our many years in wedding catering means we’re ready for any change of plan or eventuality and are focused on helping it to be the best day of your life, whatever happens.
Make a detailed plan
Take a tip from us and in the run up to the big day, make a detailed plan which involves the six Ws – who, what, when, where, why and how. Keep it on you for reference and make sure your bridesmaids are all up to date with it too, because chances are on the day itself, you’ll be in such a whirlwind you might forget – and so you should! The most important thing is to make the most of it and enjoy!
